Serena Williams to end title drought by winning the Stanford Classic by defeating Marion Bartoli 7-5 and 6-1, Monday, August 1, 2011 morning GMT. This is Serena's first title since Wimbledon 2010.

Victory at the Stanford Classic becomes a valuable capital for Williams ahead of the U.S. Open which will take place August 29 to 12 September. However, Serena reluctant to consider himself as a favorite.

"I do not think about the U.S. Open. Today, I put myself at the bottom. I just want to play loose. My confidence improved, this according to my plan. When I perform there, I have the same opportunities to other players, "said Serena.

Before appearing at the U.S. Open, Serena will be performing at the Rogers Cup and Cincinnati Open.
